Yesterday I was competing in an autocross and the upper knuckle on the steering shaft flipped over and would only let me turn right. This happened right after a hard shift into 2nd coming out of a chicane then entering a hard right. On the exit of the turn I could not straighten the wheels. The pinch bolts on the top and bottom joints were tight. I replaced the motor mounts 4 years ago when I rebuilt the engine. Anyone have any idea how this could have happened or experienced this problem? Arvin Appelman 19492 |
