15800 has been without a clock. Found a non-working one on ebay and had refurbished by D&M restoration. Looks like new!

While installing I noticed the two holes in the foam just below the clock. Does anybody know what those are for? From the darker color of the foam surface I assume they were original. Once someone reminds me I'll probably remember from my first JH in the 70's, but at the moment it's not coming to me.

Thanks-

Thanks - those metal pieces seem to be missing. Probably not that important.

Don,

I'm just finishing restoration of my dash. I'm using a nice unmolested lower foam piece like yours. While my clock was installed in the glove compartment, there are no holes in the bottom of that piece on that side of the steering wheel. It's possible your holes are original because of the clock location but the foam surround is molded to the main piece unlike the other side which is separate and held on with screws.
