Can a GPS such as the Garmin be used in the Jensen Healy? Is the voltage of the cigarette lighter OK to use?

Welcome Erv! Yes, the lighter has the correct voltage. Of course, letting machines do your critical thinking leads to Alzheimer’s disease! Kurt

I added an auxiliary socket to my console, just ahead of the box lid and towards the passenger side. We use it to plug in the cell phone and will use it for the GPS, now that we have that as well. The problem with the cigarette lighter socket is that 4th and reverse get a little tricky with anything but the lighter plugged in. The lighter is inacessable when in 4th or reverse. Can't speak to the 5 speed but expect there are similar issues.
