I am pulling the wiring harness, and got the fuse box out after much mutilation of the bracket. Is there any way to get the wires out of the box?

Do you mean the engine side harness or the wiring that connects to the fuses in the back of the fuse panel?

I got mine out by touching it with a screwdriver.  It immediately broke into three pieces and was easy to remove.
