After discovering an exploded wheel cylinder, decided to redo the entire rear brake assembly, including cleaning, blasting, and re-coating the backing plate.

The final step was to place the brake shoes, and this is where it got interesting. Could not figure out a good way to clip the return springs onto the shoes. Typically springs are in the front of the shoes, so you can use one of those brake drum plier tools. Because they are in the back, it seemed really difficult to figure a way to do it.

Made a custom tool, also a uploaded a video to my channel on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htKtqX9b9TQ&t=22s
