FYI...bought a new TR6 Master Cylinder to replace one that was bad on a friend's JH...new one looks great and is exactly as the one I removed...however, in an attempt to rebuild the old one, I find it is made in China or somewhere over there and has no markings on the body whatsoever vs the UK units. Also these new cheap TR6 units, although they fit up to the JH perfectly, cannot be rebuilt. And there seems to be no rebuild kits for them... A rebuild kit for the TR6 units (UK made) will not fit on these cheap replacements... So caveat emptor...buyer beware...

Anyone have this experience or have comments???

Regards to all,
Frank Schwartz

Hi Frank, I am having trouble locating a rubber washer for the cap. The angle of the TR6 MC is causing dribbling brake fluid. I've checked McMaster and several Triumph suppliers with no luck.
Regards,
Kurt

Hi Kurt,
This could be a solution for your problem
https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/girling-reservoir-extension-gmc-rex
Alternatively you could go for a remote reservoir which if the TR6 one has 7mm push in fittings should be easy to scource.

Hey Kurt. I have my old TR6 style master cylinder in the big pile o'parts (I think I kept it, anyway) and though the cylinder was toast, the cap washer never leaked. If you want it, I can just stick it in an envelope and drop it in the mail.
