Can anyone tell me the part number for the brake pads in front?? Surely they are not unique to the JH and should be available as most good parts stores and cross over to another car. Thank you P.S. Please post directly to me any answers at mfsjr2@comcast.net |

Hi Frank, The Girling (14?) calipers were only used in wacky off-beat British cars from the 1970's. Finding pads at your local parts supplier is unlikely. Your best bet is to get Spitfire pads. They are slightly smaller but fit perfectly and should be available locally. I use the Hawk 118. EBC makes Greenstuff pads for the JH (DP2106) but you will have to order them. Their Spitfire pad is DP 2114. Kurt Housh JH 13148 |

If you are in Europe, pads for the Ford Capri should fit (from the 1.6 and 2.0, I think the bigger ones had bigger brakes). -- Joachim |

No problem finding generic JH brake pads. I found them at the local NAPA store. They are their brand of "TruStop"> Part number TS-789 and cost me $19.95. These are stamped "Canada" although the box states "Made in USA". Either way, I was pleased that they were not stamped "made in China". They are a perfect fit and NAPA showed them as specifically made for the Jensen Healey..... |
