Well i finally got 15something a new fuel pump..aftermarket, sorry I just don't care at this point, everything else has come to life except the horn, but now I have no spark, the MSD boxes are working, but I have bad points. Now, I can replace the points for $9US or "upgrade" to a pertronics electrical system for about $65US...is there any real gain or advantage to the electrical system or chould I just replace the points? |

Points and electronic conversion produce the exact same effect when the points are new. The difference is really that as the points wear, their efficiency decreases. Now, as long as you routinely clean and check your points, thenthere's no real need to upgrade to pertronics. If you just want to set it up and never touch it again, then the pertronics is the correct solution. Jody |
