I have tried tightening by hand the plug seem to turn in both directions without tightening I assume its the o ring seal or just loose. How is the plug secured. |

Do you mean the big plug in the center of the bowl? If so be very careful with it it has plastic parts, I could make a foto in the morning ( in in the middle of the night now in Holland) I am buzzy refurbishing 2 now. There is a o ring seal. |

If the plastic plug on the very bottom center of the bowl is leaking, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO START YOUR CAR. the rear carb sits right over the starter/solenoid, and it would be INSTANT FIRE. If you haven't rebuilt the carbs in a while or run the car in a while, just rebuild the carbs(takes me 5-6 hours). |

Here is an other model from kopper, no idee what the difference is.this one fare less fragile. If possible I would like to use this one in stead of the plastic one. Attachment: 2D672E47-A17E-413D-90FB-A231FE3CD74C.jpeg (Downloaded 51 times) Last edited on 05-14-2020 01:46 pm by mtechwim |

Thanks for all the information. Luckily I noticed the leak before I got the car started. It was the front carb. I have ordered the o rings. How difficult is it to pull the plug out. Should I jut order a new one? |

The top one, is easy but becarvul, clean outside, spray some tread lube around, wait a bit and with a small screwdriver pull it out. Not on one side but around so I comes strait out. If you miss some plastic parts you have to open the bottom. |

The big kopper one is ideal when you want to replace the jet. |

If the bottom o-ring is leaking, then other rubber parts may be going bad as well. I recommend taking off the top on one of the carbs and check the condition of the rubber diaphragm. If it looks to be going bad, you might want to get a couple rebuild kits. |

I found out dat also the rubber seals from the throttle axle were shot. So I would advice a full refurbishment of the carbs to. |
