Am halfway through replacing the gaskets, o-rings etc on the 40mm Dellortos on my MK1 - one down, one to go. Fuel is leaking out of one of the barrels/auxiliary venturi of the carb that I haven't got to yet, dripping through the air filter and on to the oil filter. There is also leaks from the accelerator pump underneath. Neither are massive, just a slow drip. I am pretty sure that the leak underneath is as a result of a perished pump diaphragm. Any ideas about what might be causing the leak via the AV? I suspect the needle might be worn or not seating properly, or the float might have a bit of fuel in it, causing a bit of a free flow. Both seem like an easy fix, but should I look for anything else while I'm at it? |
