Has anyone used this product? It sounds good as it has a very high boiling point and is non corrosive to engines(especially nice for our aluminum ones). It supposedly can be used over and over and is non toxic. The only downside(and not that much of one) is the $35-$40 cost per gallon. Here is one link(even has a Jay Leno video in it) that may be worth looking at: http://www.overclock.net/t/1302628/waterless-coolant |

Cost is not the only downside. Water ( preferably distilled) is the best heat conductor. A good corrosion inhibiting antifreeze reduces the heat conductivity somewhat, but still within design criteria. Waterless coolants of this type transfer less heat to atmosphere and allow the system to run hotter without boiling. Running at higher temperatures would probably on the 907 have an adverse effect on clearances, carburation and lubrication IMHO. Gordon |
