Bruce, That's a great head's up, I didn't even realize that could be a problem. I don't think I've got the wire wraps in my hoses but I'll certainly double check. I always thought those were specific to American V8s due to the large diameter hoses that have a tendency to collapse. To your point, I have replaced some V8 hoses with rusty wire inside.
