Folks, From my experience with the Lotus Europa, I've found that many British cars were essentially frankensteins, made from the parts bin of numerous other contemporary vehicles. So, my questions is...does anyone know where the transmission mount came from? The tranny is a five sped Getrag ( BMW) mounted on a Jensen crossmember. I have a hard time believing that the mount was designed specifically. Does anyone know of what " donor " car it came from. Why do I want to know this? I need a mount. Delta says the OEM mounts are currently unavailable. I tried their replacement but it didn't suit. Anyone have a NOS one for sale? Or know of a sure source? thanks, Norm Vandal |
