Rebuilding my engine i mount what is supposed to be a freshly rebuild oil pump. When mounted I decided to spin it using my cordless drill. I spinned for 4 minutes at 1300 rpm without the it being able to build up pressure. is the 1300 rpm to little ? I guess that it only corresponds to 650 engine rpm. After this I put the pump in a vice and tried to measure the vacum with a vacuum gauge on a rubber flange. At 1300 rpm it only produced 10 mbar of vacuum. Is there a trio to start up a rebuild pump or could there be something wrong with it? Br Kim |

Problem Solved. I mounted the distributor and the oil pressure came immediately. So now I learned it - No distributor-> no oil pressure :-( I will go and mop up the oil now. BR Kim |
