Does the 30mm nut that holds the driveshaft mounting flange to the rear of transmition turn clockwise or counterclock-wise to remove it ? I don't see any washer with bent tabs that would help secure it in place. I'm wanting to replace the circular seal at the rear of the tranny. Thanks for your help :) Rob & JH 14120

I have purchased a 30mm socket & have machined & ground down it's size so it fits in the recessed hole that the nut holding mounting flange for the drive shaft . also not enough threads exposed to tell if right(clockwise) or left(counter-clockwise) to remove nut. I'm working under the car raised on jack stands w/ out much room to move, so knowing the correct direction to remove it would be very helpful at this point . because it is tightly secured & does'nt want to budge. rob rawe
