Just finished the change over from 4-speed to 5-speed, and getting ready to install the 5-speed speedometer cable into its housing on the Getrag unit and noticed something was missing. Is there a drive or linkage that goes between the end of the cable and its insertion point on the transmission? What am I missing?

Paul, if memory serves me correctly the cable just goes in the side of the trans. and a small bolt holds it in I dont recall any gear drives and such on the side, if you want me to I will go up were the my car is stored and have a look to be sure, let me know. Brett

I put mine in a few months ago and that's how I remember it. The end of the cable pushes into the gearbox and is held by a small locking bolt. Mike
