I'm in the process of rebuilding my '74 907 engine and I do not have the funds for an all out stroker, so I'll like to know where can I get .060 over pistons and rings, of course; Have anybody done this before? any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Than you all in advance |

The 907 is already substantially over square and has real issues with torque at under 3500 rpm. Boring the cylinders .060 over will only make it worse. Just throw a supercharger on it. |

It wouldn't be so bad, but not worth the money. |

Seems it would be better, and easier, to put a 2.2 crank in it.... YELODOG |

New liners are £56 a piece from SJ Sportscars, they also have 11:1 pistons for the 2.0, a set of 4 is £510 pounds. Not for free, I know, but still cheaper than a stroker kit. |

Ok, I'll bite...how does boring .060" over standard, reduce torque ? Cylinder head air flow should increase. Thermal losses should be reduced. As I understand it, psi created, when mixture lights-off, now more square inches = more total pressure= more torque/power. Cheers, roverman. |

It would move the torque peak to a higher rpm. In a race car that's not an issue. If one is searching for more enjoyment out of the 907, boring out the cylinders doesn't seem like the place to start. Of course, if the pistons are being replaced anyway.... |
