Do the 4 speed and 5 speed transmissions both use the same throwout-bearing pivot?

Hi Paul,

I measured the 5 speed pivot from the inside of the bellhousing to the top of the ball on the pivot at 2.050". Perhaps a machinist could modify your 4 speed pivot to fit if needed.

Sorry it took so long Paul. Are the rest of the parts the same for either trans? Release lever, throwout bearing etc?

The release lever appears to be the same; the throwout bearing is different. I have not seen it yet - it is on order and you have to make a choice of either 4 or 5 speed speedo cable, so I guess that is different. Bell housing is unique to the Getrag unit, but the clutch, pressure plate and pilot bearing can be used in either set-up. Also, as has been mention in earlier discourses, the tranny mount is different and in another location. PK
