I just wanted know if there is a way to verify that the trans I've purchased is indeed a 5 speed... serial numbers or special stamping?

Gearbox information here: http://www.theymightberacing.com/PartsCatalog/PartsCatalogBrowse.aspx?C=2 In terms of a Jensen Healey, the 4-speed and 5-speed are visually *very* different.

I'm trying to attach a pic of the trans I was sold, but I can't get the file size small enough... Could you pm me with your email address so I can send a pic? I just had a BMW 2002 owner tell me this is not the 235...

And after the fellow forwarded a pic of the 235, I can now see the *extreme* difference you're referring to... Drat!!! I've got a 4 speed...
