I have to swap sumps on the two engines, since the Eclat sump interferes with the cross member. I got one off easily, but the one from the old engine is like welded on. Are there any tricks to getting the sump to let go? I really don't want to break it... -- Joachim

Got it. Used a pipe for leverage, pressing down on the front left corner of the oil pan and using one of the bellhousing mounts as a counterhold. Took quite a bit of force, but I figured that as long as force wasn't applied in form of a shock or blow, material strength should be more than high enough. Now only remains to modify the baffles, since the Eclat pickup is 2" further back than the JH pickup - so it interferes with the JH baffles. Swapping pickups means having to do quite a bit of work over again - in addition to waiting for parts. -- Joachim
