I was a bit surprised to find that the manifold had large welds on the inside too. They actually reduce the cross section considerably. I'm tempted to get the grinder out and grind down the welds to smooth out the change of cross section. What do the people who know tuning think? Is it worthwhile? I'm not think gasket match here, as that would require a lot of work to the head too. -- Joachim

Grinding down the welds won't be a bad thing; as long as you don't take so much you weaken the joint. Regards GARRY
