My 73 MK1 leaks oil at a pretty good rate. My local mechanic told me that it is coming from the oil pan gasket which requires pulling motor. A friend has recommended trying Lucas Oil Stop Leak to the oil. Has anyone tried this or, have an opinion as to whether this is a good or bad idea? Last edited on 07-11-2009 03:30 am by Brianl1973 |

It may stop the oil leak, but it will probably cause a short circuit somewhere else! Sorry, couldn't resist that.
