I just purchased a used Borroughs BT-33-73F belt gauge. I have read how to cut an old belt and hang a known weight from it to calibrate the gauge. How do you adjust the gauge to read the correct amount? I saw a post somewhere just to put a mark on the dial but that seems a bit micky mouse. Any suggestions? Havn't got an original Borrourghs gauge, but one of the after market ones, I don't see how you can adjust/calabraate it, but it is in 3 segments on the 'clock face', too slack, Ok and too tight, The OK bit is such a big arc of the 'clock face' that I'd think marking it with a marker pen would be well within acceptable limits.
