Does any one know if Conversion Components is still in buisness? I've tried to get a hold via phone (which appears to not exist) and I've had no response via email... so I'm about to write that off. Though I don't have a JH, I do have a lotus elite which shares a fair bit of parts and I'm looking to do a W58 swap. I already have a good, reconditioned gearbox. Would the JH 5spd bell-housing conversion kit fit on an elite? Or does anyone have the dimensions for the housing in the kit so I can see if it fits. -bp |

Will it mount to a W58 Celica/Supra box? If so, I'm very interested. That will save a lot of pain and suffering... -bp |

My understanding is that Lotus used the non turbo Supra box in the later Elite. It had better be , because I bought this complete to provide a spare Box for my big Healey. Where are you based ? |

Lotus used the non-turbo supra box in the excel, which was derived from the elite/eclat. The original elite/eclat used a austin maxi box (5spd) or a 4spd ford, the S2 used a Getrag 265 (which is out of a E30 M3), and then the excel which is pretty close to the others (the body of a elite can, for example, mount on a excel chassis with only a few mods) had the W58 supra box. I'm located in the US, but shipping is no big deal - I have an international UPS account. -bp |
