Hello members, I am a new owner to J-H's, I always have interest in unique cars so I purchased this 73 online out of long term dry storage in Utah and brought it to Maine. Primarily complete but missing a few pieces (air box and some interior trim). Seller had fired it on ether but that's it. Attachment: 73 jensen project (9).JPG (Downloaded 170 times) |

Possibly the fuel pump? If you have the original SU, do NOT throw it away. They are more reliable and quieter than most, and if you do need a new pump, the special banjo fittings($$$) are NOT included. The one extra part to carry is a fuel pump, and the reasonably priced ones from ROCKAUTO workfine: https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/jensen,1974,healey,2.0l+l4,1312383,fuel+&+air,fuel+pump,6256 |

btw, should have mentioned about rustproofing the car(floors, rockers, inner fenders) with POR15, Mastercoat, or KBS, all excellent products |

I did replace the fuel pump, I spent the money for a new brush-less SU. Also, I am rust proofing the floors as I go. Just fabricated a new rear seat support for the passenger side and then used a rust proofing paint. Excellent; except I would have welded the seat channel in. |

I am adding more rivets. I thought about that but after looking at the spot welds there isn't a tremendous difference. Also, since the seat belts are mounted behind to the floor there is actually no pulling/lifting force ever really applied. |

Seat belts mounted to the floor? The original points of attachment were to the tm. tunnel and the side of panel welded to the rocker? There should be a large not welded in each spot(you can see the tm.' tunnel one from under the car) |

Yes, the tunnel. I was just pointing out the seatbelt is not attached to the seat. |

Looks good. It looks like you still have the original radiator cap. You may want to replace that. Also, I don’t see the fan shroud. It makes a big difference with the original radiator and was put on by dealers after a TSB was issued. Good Luck, Jim |

Thanks for the advise. I am hoping to get it on the road the next few weeks. Just waiting for the rest of the snow to melt and some rain to fully wash off the roads. |
