So back in 2015 I purchased my Healey. It has been a trip reading this forum determining if the thing was safe to drive. The PO did a respectable job in doing safety mods. But as I move to the fuel lines I have to wonder whats going on. There are two fuel filters, one on either side of the fuel pump, in the boot. In addition there is a fuel filter on the fender in combination with a regulator. There is a carbon canister with nothing coming in and a metal line, I guess vapor return, going back. I want to clean all this up by removing the fuel filters in the back, removing the carbon canister and getting a vent from the tank to the outside much as my TR4 has. Any thoughts. |

I failed to include that the PO switched to Dellorto carbs, hence the regulator and filter up front. |

Answered my own question by reading more forum postings. Thanks CDA951 for posting about the one way valve. I will place it just before the regulator and install new line back to the fuel pump./ |
