I have written up a 30 page document with photos of the process I went through to convert my 1974 Jensen-Healey to electronic fuel injection. This article is a companion piece to the similar article I did a while ago on the crank-fired distributor-less ignition conversion process. Both Tim Engel and Bruce Madden have reviewed this new article and I have revised it a little based on their suggestions.

I don't know if this should be posted here under "Fuel Stuff" or under the Carburetors area of the forum.

There is a JensenCars group on YahooGroups that has a large tech files repository with a lot of Tim Engel's technical information he has posted over the years. This is where the two articles have been posted.

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/JensenCars/files/Jensen-Healey%20%26%20Jensen%20GT/Tech%20-%20Engine/Mods%20-%20Fuel%20Injection/

I think you have to join the group on yahoo in order to access the files.

Anyone have an alternate??? I cannot seem to be able to "join up" to Yahoo...keeps asking for the same information over and over again...very frustrating.

What information is it asking for? Bruce Madden was also having issues with the information Yahoo was asking for. I have never had this issue since I have been a yahoo groups member for years so I am curious as to what sorts of questions it asks for.

It asks your name..that is ok...then it asks for a password..and nothing seems to work..It also asks for your home phone and this works but it asks for birth date and asks again and again and then says password is incorrect...a real bucket of worms. I went into a search and tried to sign up and it did the same.

Thanks for the link Steven. Very interesting articles. I'm not sure why but was Jody Kerr involved in this project? He was a Studebaker guy here in Phoenix years ago. I've never met him, but have tried to contact him several times. The Studebaker/JH connection can't be a common thread!

Jody helped film an early version of this system when I first installed it onto my car. He then posted the video. That was the only involvement he had with this.

Frank, I sent you a group invite but I don't know if that will actually make a difference or not.

Hi Steven,
I signed up for a yahoo account, that seems to have gone well. The Jensen Cars Group says that membership must obtain "approval." OK, from whom?
Thanks,
Jim

That would be me or Tim. I just approved you so you should have access to the files area now.

The JensenCars group on groupa.yahoo.com is going away due to access policy changes being made by yahoo.com

So if anyone else is interested in the technical information that was archived there please feel free to contact me or Tim Engel directly.

Steve started 'JensenCars' on YahooGroups on June 13, 2013, and in the following 6+ years attracted only 17 subscribers. If that's all the interest there is/ was, then perhaps there's no loss in letting it go away.

Personally, I expected that there would be a bigger need, or at least interest in the info required to keep the cars on the road. I'm a 'wrencher' and a little OCD about gathering specs & how-to info, so maybe my view is a little off the reality mark. But still, I was surprised by the gross lack of interest.

Granted, there wasn't much initial content there for the 'Jensen' guys. The intent was that the group's Files and Photos sections would be open for owners to upload and SHARE what they had, but that never happened. My own focus was on the Jensen-Healey's Lotus 907, so I populated that folder with a bunch of "Lotus" tech data that's not otherwise readily available to JH owners, plus some how-to stuff. But other than a few Electric Schematics, I didn't have much to offer for the big-engine 'Jensen' guys. And unfortunately, that lack of content never changed... ie, no one else uploaded anything.

When the word came out that YahooGroups was going to delete all user-uploaded content (ie, 'everything' in JensenCars), my first reaction was to start a clone group over on Groups.io. But after reviewing the apparent lack of interest over the last 6+ years, I decided to let it go.

I'm seriously NOT a fan of Facebook, but at least the Jensen-Healey Facebook page has a "Files" section, and it's rather well populated with Tech & How-to files. Maybe that's all that's required.

Regards,
Tim Engel
