Just wondering what club members used in the trunk under the gas tank. My Jensen didn't have anything in it but a badley rusted tank sitting on the metal. I was thinking about someway to allow air under tank to prevent rust. Any thoughts?

I remember someone once mentioning taking a couple of lengths of rubber fuel line and using them as standoffs. That's something I will be looking at this winter when Ms. J gets her makeover.

A used toothed cam belt has been mentioned in the past.

I got a pair of those thick rubber splash guards for a pickup and cut approx 1" wide slices. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200316137_200316137 Painted the outside of the tank then glued 5 of these strips to the underside and reinstalled the tank. You might also want to reseal the fill neck grommet to slow down water getting into the trunk.
