Ok so I have removed the 2 straps, removed the filler neck and all of the smaller vent lines ,the sending unit wires and all?of the hoses under the car. The tank is still really tightly seated. How the !@% do I get the tank out? Cheers,John |

Kurt, It is pretty much just like John describes. When I took my GT gas tank out it was the same way. Remove the two straps, filler neck, vent lines, hoses and wires. Then you will have to pull down as the tank will be a tight fit with the junk that has accumulated around the tank and the two sticky foam strips that are attached to the top of the tank. If I remember right you pull down the tank from the front of the tank. The part closest to the interior of the car. I think there was a small ledge that the tank was close to preventing it to drop down all the way. Not too difficult just frustrating because of the space and the sticky tape. Art |
