What is the range of the stock sending unit?

I am considering installing an aftermarket fuel cel that has a sender that is 0 ohms empty to 90 orhms full.

Of course, this would be too easy, so I know there is a catch.

I haven't a clue what the resistance is on the stock unit. I could measure the spare TR7 one I have. Perhaps you could remove yours from the tank, hook it up to the gauge, move the float manually and see what you get.  Just how you would recalibrate it if your readings were way off, I don't know. I will mull it over and if I get an inspiration I will let you know.

Nice to see that this is bass ackwards from what I have found.

Well, I was looking at aftermarket gauges some day.  Maybe that day is sooner than I expected.
