I am experiencing a" tinny" under the dashboard rattle when running over small bumps in the road. It may be something is very well loose but I am not sure where to start short of removing the entire dashboard ( oh, it may come to that as it is annoying). It seems to be coming from underneath the center of the dash. Any help on what could be loose would be appreciated..... Thank You John |

There actually isn't all that much under the dash that typically would come loose- my guess would be the so-called air vents in the firewall. These are controlled by rods on either side of the transmission tunnel. They come with some goofy foam mterial on the edge that contacts the firewall, but that stuff falls off over of the years and can make noise over bumps. |
