Has any one found satisfactory replacement seats for the Jensen_Healey.  Most seats seem to be too wide. My seat frames are worn out and the backs will not hold there position.

Pat,

There is a thead on the old board about this....somwhere...

Some common options that fit include the Nissan 240SX, Toyota Supra, Mazda Miata and Pontiac Fiero.  I went with the late  240SX seats with separate headrest and large side bolsters.

You'll need to get brackets, most likely custom, or modify the ones that come with the car seats you take from other cars...

Measure out the demensions of the area and you can search aftermarket car seats, that is if you're someone who likes them.

Pat,

The sad fact is that no two seats mount the same.  This really isn't a bolt-in solution, more like a total renovation project for  your interior.

I had to custom fabricate mounts for the brackets I had to modify from the 240SX.  If they are like mine, chances are your floor-boards and x-members will need to be replaced/reinforced/rebuilt anyway.

The 'good' news is that this was a perfect time to put in carpet that matched the seats I chose.  Those with more funds can have the seats recovered in leather to make for a fairly high-end interior.
