I started installing the door rubber, but it did not fit well over the bottom portion of the opening. Was I supposed to cut the carpet back so that the flange is bare? See picture. Attachment: JH PS door sill small.jpg (Downloaded 93 times)

The carpet butts up to the inside lip of the inner and outer rocker panel seam. It does not fold over it. If you do this the resulting section will be too thick and you wont be able to get the weatherstip over it.
