Has anyone been able to repair (solder or some other means) a broken screw stud on a side marker light? I broke one on my rear side light. The nut turned pretty easy. I thought the nut was coming off, but the stud was twisting. Oops! Any advice out there?

Try a jewelry shop that offers repair work.  Such shops often have very small spot welders, and/or gas brazing equipment that may help in making your repair without melting the whole part.

If I were to try to fix this myself, can anyone tell me what sort of metal (or other material) the studs are made of. I would the try to determine what material to use to make the repair.

I had the same problem on 13753 and if memory serves I knocked out the remains of the stud and put a #6 screw thru the hole.
