After 20 years of running without original ID plates after the body was completely stripped and redone, I got a set of repro data plates from Greg, marked with my chassis #.

Small problem- where do they go? I have some pictures of other cars and the emissions plate and the smaller plate that reads "Jensen Healey" in bold at the top sits next to it in front of the radiator on the shroud.

The other smaller plate goes on the drivers door? Or on the door panel on the body?

Pics would be awesome but any verbal directions are good too.

10628 doesn’t have the top right tag, and it looks like there is one missing on the radiator support (or maybe that’s where the emissions tag was originally (can’t make out the emissions tag unfortunately).

Disco,

It looks like you've got a set of '73 plates(3), one went on the driver side door(VIN plate), the other two(big one and JENSEN-HEALEY small one)went on top of the radiator. The '74 had only two plates, the door plate and the two radiator plates which were combined into one.

Dakota,

While I'm not one to tell a man how to setup his car, you do realize that the back door sill plate is stainless steel and when stripped and polished it's not only very scuff and scratch resistant but also pleasing to the eye. It was how they originally rolled out of the factory.

Thanks guys, finally got around to install using 1/16" aluminum rivets. Looks good. Thanks to Greg for making them too!

Also on the install for anyone else attempting this:

I feel like it's a great idea to paste a very thin layer of silicone on the back of these plates so that when moisture and dirt floats in, there is a barrier for it. The plates tend to trap this stuff and sit forever, then the rust spot is observed. At best, it ruins the area of paint over time. The aluminum and steel expand and contract differently with heat, and with a little dirt there you have a small example of sandpaper.
