I was lucky to be able to harvest a dash from a friends J-H before it went to the crusher. The dash is in excellent condition. The problem is the new dash has the VIN from the old car. The VIN plate is riveted to the dash in what seems to be a very fragile area. I'm sure I'm not the first to do a dash swap, so I'm curious as to what some other guys who have done the swap have done about the VIN problem.

I don't remember if I was somehow able to save my original rivets or if I had to buy new ones (google vin rivets) but it turned out to be a fairly straight forward process.
