Anybody use those rust converters from Eastwood or POR15 or Rustoleum? Going to try one of them on the surface rust in the trunk and floors. Nothing's rusted through, figure sanding, converting, and taking it from there. Thanks |

Rustoleum has worked well for me. What I have done is remove as much rust as possible using sandpaper, steel wool and wire brushes, clean, then coat with two or three thin coats of rustoleum's rusty metal primer, then paint. Some of this was done over twenty years ago and still no problems. Not nearly as smooth as a professional job though. |

I've used POR15 with great success even in battery storage areas on an RV. Just follow recommendations for any of the products you listed and you should be happy. |
