Hi I'm in the process of collecting all the bits I need to put my JH back together and I can't remember how the seat belts go. I unfortunatly threw the old ones away in a previous clear out so I can't use them as a sample, they were totaly past it and covered in oil plus both sides were different. Most helpful would be a photo of the bits behind the seat along with the length of the seat belt stalk next to the tunnel. Thanks Roland

Going to be ripping into things tonight. Didn't forget, just haven't gotten to it. I'll get you what you're looking for.

OK. Sorry about the wait, but here's hopefully more information than you need. First of all, the buckle stalk overall measures just over 9 inches from the top of the buckle to the bottom of the lug that attaches to the tunnel. Now, some pictures. I kept them small here, but under each picture there is a link to an enlargement with much more detail. The front mounting, near the drivers seat (LHD). Enlargement The rear mounting of the belt, drivers side (LHD). Enlargement The tunnel mount from the rear, drivers side (LHD). Enlargement A closer view of the tunnel mount, drivers side (LHD) Enlargement And just in case it helps, my parts car with the interior removed, showing the mounting points of the reel (the squared off area near the front of the wheel well) and the retainer clip the belt slides through (about halfway up the wheel well). Hope this is helpful. Last edited on 06-06-2013 09:14 pm by answerman |

Thanks for the photo's they show exactly what I need. It has raised a point though, the reels are a style i've never come across before being that sort a a backwards way around. I'm not sure you can get after market ones like that. I also like the chrome strips along the edge of the carpet inside the door and your doner car looks a lot better than mine stared out.

Glad the pictures helped. Yes, the donor car is in great shape, what there is of it. 3 of 4 fenders, doors, rockers, trunk lid, and floor pans are all great and are in the process of being removed for next winter's graft onto Ms. Jenavieve. Don't know if you saw my main thread about the project, but the hood/bonnet and most of the front end is missing, along with most of one of the front fenders. Like I said, what is there is very solid though.
