All,
Try as I might, I can't find an example of a Saba Blue Jensen.  My JH-5 was originally Saba Blue.  There is some evidence of that in areas on the car but I can't get a feel for what it looks like externally. Is it referred to by another name in the States?  Also, does anyone know where I can get the paint code for Saba Blue?

Thanks
Jeff Jarvis

I've never heard of Saba Blue. The usual JH blue was Malaga and some cars (mine) were Pacific Blue.

There's always someplace they forgot to re-paint. Look under the dash and around the hinges.

I'm color blind and have not heard of Saba Blue either. I thought my car was blue but everyone is saying its purple.

I should call my car barney if its purple. A big purple dinosaur.. Hehehe...

I have heard it referred to as Pacific Blue myself. I thought that was the correct color (the Malaga blue, pretty as it is, is more "Petty blue", for lack of a better way to describe it,  than dark blue...my car has hints of a dark blue).  From Richard Calvers web site, it appears only 12 cars were painted Saba Blue and those all came to the States.  I will keep hunting.

Thanks Somebody.  I would have to agree that you have a purple car!  Pretty though! That second U tube video is close to what I believe was original on my car based on the paint in the door jambs.

This is what I found behind the Drivers door panel.

I believe that is nevis blue, check out this web site Greg has a picture of my car in that color or go to the Delta site they have another, or give me your e-mail and I'll send a picture. It's a metalic blue that came on a few late JH's and some GT's.

Thanks Brett.
I had noticed those pictures before and wondered if that wasn't the same color.  it sounds like our cars came off the line around the same time.  I will send you my email address.   A picture would be great.

Richard Calver sent me the following regarding Saba Blue:

Paint manufacturer is Ault & Wiborg, code ACR 31101/M

I post it here for posterity.

My thanks to all who responded and to Richard via email.

Jeff
