Several months ago I purchased a Lecarra adapter kit. Advertised as NOS but clearly used it even included the original box. The part number on the box is B-35J-. Upon installation I found that it is too large for the splines on my '73 (#12827). Do I have the wrong adapter, am I missing a part to convert the larger splines to my column, or were there more than one column size used at the factory? Thanks in advance, Mitch |

I've been researching new steering wheels for my car. B35-J is the boss for a J_H (B35 is a Vauxhall Viva, the J is for a Jensen badge I think). If you look at the boss you should see "B35" moulded into it. If it isn't there it could be that someone has put an incorrect boss in a J-H box. If that's the case, you have a good case to return it to the seller. Mike |

Thanks for the excellent information Mike. The only thing on the hub/boss is "Made In France". In your research have you identified any alternative or other source for the boss? Thanks in advance, Mitch |

There's a B35-J boss for sale on eBay UK: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTO-LITA-B35J-Boss-Kit-hub-JENSEN-HEALEY-models-/120780007707?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D2%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D2917514323890896521 Does yours look anything like it? I'll look for the other suppliers that I found and post what I find. Mike |

Just cut the hub out of the stock steering wheel and bolt on the new rim. Sheesh, OK I'll go and measure. :-) Kurt |

I measured the internal diameter of my old steering wheel and it is indeed .625", = 5/8". I had the tangs of the caliper seated in the grooves. There are 36 splines. |
