In the ..recently seen on eBay dept... Has anyone actually gotten a copy of the CD version of our beloved Jensen Healey Factory Service Repair Manual, evidently now available on CD ?? I'd get one, but I'm so burned on archival publishing built from bad scans, that I'm hoping for someone else to take the plunge!

I spent $21.83 USD including shipping. The CD has some other information on it also. Most of it I had already seen at various websites. I was going to scan my Workshop Manual anway so I thought, why not just buy it (a lot of pages to scan). The scans are pretty good. An illustration or two seem to be blury. I think maybe it may have been a fuzzy original. The Workshop Manual seems to be complete (229 pages) including four pages of wiring diagram at the end. Espically if you don't already have the printed manual, this CD is great. The following is the file list from the CD. That's nice of the slimeball selling this CD to have ripped off some of my material (stuff that I wrote and photographed) from this web site and illegally publish it. I don't recommend folks buy anything from this loser (especially since you can get it here for free to start with). I personally don't see a CD as extremely useful as I rather like perusing printed pages myself, but I can see a need for many items together in an archive. Sometime soon, I'll put a CD or DVD together that has past issues on it as well as tech stuff all on one disc.

Well that settles that. Isn't there an issue you can pursue about him stealing (*and selling) the original material from here? Is it copyrighted with the mag or the site? Greg, if I were you, I'd at least contact eBay and tell them he's selling pirated material. That should at least slow him down. Last edited on 07-12-2006 04:07 pm by mdutch |
