I was watching the Showtime documentary on the rock band The GO GOs, about mid way through they showed bits of the MTV video "Our Lips Are Sealed", and lo and behold in the video as they're driving down the street there's an orange Jensen-Healey, which looks to be in good nick, coming the other way. The video was probably done about '82 which would make that Healey around 8 years old. |

Good catch. I would never have seen that. It is in their official video for the song on you tube. Just havin' a good time cruisin around LA Kart54 |

I can remember when I thought that orange was just godawful, but I have to say of late it's been growing on me. That one looks pretty cool, I hope it's still around. |

thanks for the "blowup"; when I had looked at the video, the door side "protrusions" did not look like a Jensen, but more like an Alfa. anyone else have a better isea? |

It's a steel bumper car and looks like it's wearing stock wheels. Looking at the side of the car I can't tell weather it's got ding strips, which were very popular aftermarket add-ons and came on some early Healeys, or that's a reflection from a building on the street. Also, there's no hood badge, which I would think would show prominently against that orange paint. Overall I'd say when the video made, even though it was it was 8 or 9 years old, it was a well cared for driver. |
