FYI, the new season of Wheeler Dealers is starting this Wednesday 4/17. In one of the episodes the guys will be doing a Jensen-Healey, looks like an early model. I'm not sure when the J-H episode will air so if you're interested you might want to keep an eye open. |

I just saw it, I found it to be both interesting and disappointing. I thought it was interesting how Ant removed the whole front end for access, it's nice to have a lift and special tools so you don't have to rebuild it underneath the car like I did. What was disappointing was what they skipped, nothing on the paint and bodywork, what happened to the bumpers, they just disappeared. I would think if the front suspension was that bad wouldn't rear suspension also need attention, nothing. Why did Ant need to fabricate exhaust pieces when everything is readily available? One more thing I found odd, the car is a '74 5speed and yet it had blacked out headlight buckets and rear end and the badging of a '73. And after all this they made a whopping $302.00 on the project. |

I think Mike and Ant found out what most of us already know, there's just not much money to be made restoring Jensen-Healeys. You're probably better off buying a J/H that's already been restored. |

All the post '73 vehicles have the black area where the headlight is. The west coast vehicles all had the "J" badge like the precious ones("73 "J" badges have white in them). The larger "J-H 5 with the union jack" above it were put on by the east coast distributor. |

That's interesting, I had always assumed the 5sp cars were all badged with the "J-H 5" badge. My car(19661)came black from the factory so I can't add anything about the blackout panels but it was sold new in SoCal with the "J-H 5" badges. |
