On my JH5 I have 3 or 4 fuses near the coil along the fire wall, plus the 3 in the fuse block, plus 1 or 2 under the dash.

On the 74 JH I'm restoring so far have found only the 3 in the block, but have not ripped the dash out yet, would'nt be surprised to find a couple there as well.

Theirs no telling what a previous owner did to protect the wiring system untill you dig in and have alook.

The ones in the engine compartment are sorta strange; there's two 30 amp plus a single 50 amp (!) 'slow blow' type. Wow.

Just a heads upp another member informed me the 3 fuses needed are Lucas 35 Amp which translates to about 15.17 amp American. This question resulted in my auto electric guy questioning the 35amp fuses I put in. I would appreciate a more informed source than me stepping in and clarifying because 35Amp American could mess up the electrical work.

From an old Mark Rosenbaum post:

The stock JH fuses are rated 35 amps.  IIRC this is the must-blow rating, which, for Lucas fuses, means a must-carry rating of 18 amps.

Hey guys, I did'nt mean to end this string with the old joke! I believe the JH has 3 fuses at the firewall, one in the tail-light area, one for the radio .  typically English electro-engineering........JHRV8.
