I can't remember which was late and which was early...girling or lockheed...in any case the later brakes are the same as the TR7. If you're looking for shoes, contact http://www.porterfieldbrake.com.
They are EXTREMELY easy to work with and if they don't have your application on the shelf, they can take your old shoes and re-coat them really fast (1-2 weeks).
I use their High Performance Street compound on all my cars. I got over 60k miles on the front pads on my Infiniti that I also used for Solo II and driver's schools when the JH wasn't running. Needless to say, I'm VERY satisfied with the performance and service I get from these guys.
Besides, the blonde who answers the phone is not only cheery to talk to, but she knows her stuff!
