Take a look at this article: http://www.theymightberacing.com/Projects/FrameOff/JH74G/HeaterAssemblyRestoration.aspx And, There's a fair bit of spelunking necessary to get the unit out. You'll have to remove the section of the console where the stereo resides, as well as the plate behind it. Plan on spending a few hours getting it out. There's a bit o a flaw in the overall design of the heater box assembly. The heater core inside the box is stabilized inside the unit with a couple pieces of large cell styrofoam. Over time the foam breaks down or gets crushed which allows the core to move around inside the unit. Yours has probably been bouncing around in there a while. Jody
