When using a spare that’s different from the rest of the wheels, be sure to carry the correct lug nuts for the spare.

The nuts for the factory alloys have a flat shoulder to seat flat on the wheel center section face.  Steel wheels usually need a conical shouldered lug.

The Superlites on my car have hard steel inserts and use conical shouldered lugs.  I still have the factory spare so I need to carry factory lugs to go with it.
