Erik, thanks for your response. Now you know why I admitted knowing nothing about this topic. Looks like I had this backwards. Appreciate your response and explaining what you have done. If I decide to purchase the parts to do this myself where would I look for parts for our distributors? I will wait until my engine is finished and back on the road before making a final decision as to which way to go on this. I am looking into the Electromotive system as well but it is running around $830 plus shipping and I would still need to have a machine shop do some work to make it fit. The pertronix system is much more affordable but then I will need to deal with adjusting the advance curve on my engine once it is up and running. If money were no object I would go for the Electromotive system, but cost has to be considered and it is a street car in the end which weighs in as well.
