From a quick search on Google it would seem that the Mantra 1.8 dates from the early 80's. As the JH and GT were manufactured up till 1976, it is likely that the Getrag 5 speed moved on in the mean time.  Looking at the reviews of the Mantas and their power output it would look as if a gearbox from a RWD manta could be a option. If you hunt round long enough on this website you find the preferred gearbox is the Toyota supra / celica gearboxs (W57 ?)  and these are popular because you can get a kit and it comes with everything you need to bolt it in. However any competent machine shop can interface you bell housing to a different gearbox for a price. So back to your question "no" I dont know. Tony H.
