Since 2.0 and 2.2 liter engines are unique I assume that the best exhaust system for one is not best for the other. I have single pipe systems on both my cars, a Delta single pipe system on the 2.0 and a 2.25" single pipe on the 2.2. Both make a big loop over the rear axle which diverts the exhaust stream from a straight line and probably causes some inefficiency. Particularly for the 2.2, which may see 8500 RPM at the upper extreme, is 2.25" the right diameter for the optimum exhaust flow? Is there a rational route for the pipe which avoids the big loop? This is a car that will be mainly driven on public roads. I've sent a note to sales.borla.com to see if they have some answers. Any good ideas from the members?
